Position Description:
 
The IT Service Analyst is the first point of contact for IT support at InterDent.  The individual filling this position will have excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.  The successful candidate presents a patient, can-do approach to troubleshooting technology issues along with a high degree of technical aptitude.
 
E
ssential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Field incoming help requests from end users via both telephone and e-mail in a courteous manner.
  • Document all pertinent end user identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issue.
  • Build rapport and elicit problem details from Service Desk customers.
  • Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced technician.
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of all software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
  • Know and teach the InterDent standards for hardware and software.
  • Learn and master diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrate ability of how to access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution.
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.  Teach others how to do this as well.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply advanced troubleshooting methods to resolve complex problems that arise.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals.
  • Test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved.
  • Develop help sheets and frequently asked questions lists for end users.
  • Perform QSI support tasks.
  • Assist IT Field Installation Techs as needed in the field.

  • High comfort level with computer hardware.
  • Experience with desktop operating systems.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Quick to absorb and retain information across multiple technology disciplines.
  • Accomplished at presenting ideas clearly and concisely with user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
