Today, under the brands Gentle Dental and Smile Keepers, our dental service organization (DSO) provides business support to over 200 practices in eight states including Arizona, California, Hawaii, Kansas, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Washington.
 
InterDent is based out of Inglewood, CA with a second office in Vancouver, WA and backed by the private equity firm H.I.G. 
The IT Systems Engineer will manage and support the servers and infrastructure used in the data center operations for Interdent. To support new projects associated with data center operations. To provide 2nd and 3rd level escalation for data center and dental office server issues. The possibility to Travel (10%)   

There will not be a relocation package for this position. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintenance of virtualized servers, VMware Horizons VDI environment, storage, Tegile, Microsoft Exchange, SQL, and other application servers.
  • Maintain hardware and software patch levels.
  • Monitor and manage systems used in support of data center operations.  Example: Backup Systems and SolarWinds.

Required Skills - Must be present in resume
  • Solid working knowledge of VMware Horizons VDI required. 
  • Solid working knowledge of SAN technology including Tegile, EqualLogic, iSCSI
  • Solid working knowledge of Active Directory
  • Solid working knowledge of VMware virtualization technology
 
Essential Skills
  • Solid working knowledge of server hardware and software platforms.
  • Solid working knowledge of Exchange 2013 and higher
  • Working understanding of LAN/ WAN technologies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated documentation skills with Visio
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills
  • Able to apply analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional customer service orientation
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
 
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with Enterprise level backup tools (Veeam, CommVault)
  • Experience with cloud-based storage and compute (AWS or Azure)
  • VoIP support (Cisco Unified Contact Center Express)
 
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent education and experience. 
Industry certifications are preferred (MCSE, CCNA, VCP, CISSP, etc.).
 
Communication Skills
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, documentation, Visio diagrams, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
